This is a bit late, I had intended to post this earlier (before Christmas!) This weekend we went to a private screening of MegaMind 3D – it was very funny – even though I managed to drop of briefly in the middle – I blame the mulled wine and mince pies! Boy managed to eat 6 before the film. After the film we went for a burger at Byron’s, we usually go to GBK, the menu was a lot smaller but the burger was really good – you can have Mac’n’cheese instead of fries with your Burger – very American. When dinner had finished we for a wander through China Town and Soho and found an amazing cake shop.





OMG!!!! I was like a child in a toy shop, I didn’t know where to look next! Girl and I chose one cake each. They were put in a box with extra glitter sprinkled on the top – what more could you want!



Not only did these cakes look fantastic but they tasted great too! The shop Cox, Cookies and Cakes is owned by Patrick Cox of shoe design fame and is a must to visit if you are in London

Yesterday I happened to go past the fruit and veg stall in town at closing time and got two big bags of peaches and a bag of apples for £2! I needed to use them today as a few of them were a bit bruised, so I made 4 and a bit jars of Peach Chutney.

Then, I made 6 jars of Orange Marmalade with Whisky ready for Christmas (I actually bought the prepared orange in a tin for last year but never got round to doing it!)

To use up more of the peaches I made Peach and Blueberry Boybait as seen on The Great British Bake Off made by Ruth (aka The Pink Whisk).

Well on a snowy day, what is better to do than BAKE!

I have baked - Cheese Scones, Rock Cakes, Shortbread Biscuits and Toffee Apple Cupcakes. Mmmmmmm ....... pictures to follow. ---- Sorry, all cakes eaten before I took pictures!!!
